Recourse Host Configuration

Basic Configuration

The following table explains the function of each item.

Enable UISD protection Run Sniffer Dog to protect your website
Host Address (IP or domain)

Input a host address (domain, IP or sub-domain). Do not leave it empty.

  • If your website is visited by domain, input the domain address; if it is visited by IP, input the IP address. Or if both domain and IP addresses are to be protected, you can choose “not a specified IP or domain”.
  • Input all the possible domains and IPs your clients may visit. (e.g. input both www.domian.com & domain.com to the list)
  • Input *.domain.com if domain.com has several sub-domains.
Description Description of the host. You can leave it empty
File extension name filter Type in the type of files you want Sniffer Dog monitor. (e.g. rar, zip, mp3, etc. please separate them by” ;”)
Deny access re-directing URL Re-directing to a defined page (image, flash, html, dynamic page, etc.) when illegal leeching happens. This page will provide you info of the illegal link address. It can be a full path (http://localhost/DenyAccess.asp) or relative path (DenyAccess.asp)
Re-directing URL when the request resource does not exist
  • Re-directing to a defined page when resource does not exist if you check this option. You can type in the page URL in the blank box.
  • Please attention that you have to assign read permissions to all web pages on Window IIS users when starting this option, otherwise Sniffer Dog will default those pages without read permissions do not exist.
  • Re-directing URL when resource does not exist Re-directing to a defined page when resource does not exist. The URL can be both full path (http://localhost/NotExistFile.asp) and relative path (NotExistFile.asp).
